University Heights will head into the weekend’s All-A Classic State Soccer Tournament on a three-game winning streak following their 3-0 shutout of Paducah Tilghman Tuesday.

Elvin Wagner got the Blazers on the board seven minutes into the contest when he scored off a Will Bryan feed. Connor Dill followed two minutes later for an unassisted goal that put the Blazers ahead 2-0. That two-goal margin would take UHA into intermission.

Bryan’s second assist of the game was a helper to Tanner Thomas midway through the second half for the final goal of the game. Will Maxwell made four saves in goal for the Blazers, who picked up their first shutout since their season-opening win over Mayfield.

UHA (8-3) will play Louisville Holy Cross Saturday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the All-A Classic State Soccer Tournament in Frankfort.
