During the postgame media conference after Lyon County won the state championship, the Lyons were asked about a couple of emblems that were with them at the table. Travis Perry explained to the media in the room about the important role that the team’s faith had played in this season. Give this one an ear.

What a testimony for the coaches and team! I have had several fans from other schools ask what G2G and 7 mean. That says a lot about your FAITH! Stand tall men when it comes to standing for GOD!

This is a wonderful testimony to others, because many young people have lost their way. This team works AS A TEAM. I’m also happy that a team from Western Kentucky was recognized today. Not often does this happen. I have a couple of dear friends who grew up in Lyon Co but live in Ballard, so I’m happy for them as well! Awesome job guys, and you have a great coach who keeps God in your day to day living. That’s awesome especially in this day and time where schools, media, and even some professional sports programs try and shut God out of our lives.
