Fort Campbell’s Avaley Moore Wins Midwest Military Youth of the Year’

A student-athlete at Fort Campbell High School will be competing later this summer in a national competition that recognizes outstanding youth connected to the military through their parents’ service to their country.

Avaley Moore just won the Midwest Military Youth of the Year competition and now moves on to the National Military Youth of the Year competition coming up in August in Washington, DC.

Moore, who is a junior at Fort Campbell, is extensively involved in her school community and in her community as a whole on the military installation. She has also been a part of the Lady Falcon softball, soccer, and girls’ wrestling teams.

The Military Youth of the Year competition, a component of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year program, recognizes outstanding military-connected youth between the ages of 14-18, who are part of families serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. for their leadership, service, academic achievements, and commitment to their communities.
