It was a pair of second place finishes for the golf teams from Hopkinsville High School in a four way match Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club. On the boys side, Hopkinsville shot a 175 to finish 11 shots behind Christian County. The Tigers were led by Cole Taylor, who shot a 39 to finish 3rd in the individual competition. Edward Lee Major shot a 42, while James Folz added a 43 for Hoptown.
In the girls match, Hopkinsville nearly got the win, falling to Christian County by a single stroke. Caitlyn Shelton was the overall girl’s medalist, shooting a 40 for the afternoon. Ellie Colburn and Audrey Raines each shot 57 over the course of the nine holes of the tournament.
