Hopkinsville’s Chase Atkins made the most of his first state cross country run Saturday, finishing 73rd out of 278 runners at the Class 3A Meet in Lexington. His time of 17:38 over the 3.1-mile course was the third fastest of all freshmen in the 3A meet.
