Heritage Christian Players Excel in KCAA All-Star Games

Chelsea Dortch, Gavin Fowler, Rachel West, and Dalton Folz represented Heritage Christian Academy Saturday in the KCAA All-Star games.

Heritage Christian Academy had four players take part in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association All-Star Game Saturday at Somerset Christian High School.

Lady Warrior senior Rachel West and junior Chelsea Dortch both played for the West Team, that lost 51-48 to the East Team. West was the only player on the West squad to reach double figures with 16 points. Dortch scored five points. The West team was coached by HCA’s Matt McGowan.

KCAA Miss Basketball Heather Whitlow of Glasgow Christian scored six points, while KCAA State Tournament MVP Hannah Mattingly of Trinity Christian scored 16 points to lead the East squad.

In the boys’ All-Star game, HCA’s Gavin Fowler and Dalton Folz were part of the West squad that scored a 99-96 win over the East squad. Fowler was one of six West players in double figures with 13 points, while Folz added nine points. Both Fowler and Folz are juniors for Heritage Christian Academy.
