Former University Heights golfer Anna Moore finished in 27th place at the 25th John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagles’ Landing Country Club in Stockbridge. Moore was a part of the Murray State women’s golf team that came home with a second place showing at the event.
The Racers carded scores of 302-296-302=900 and finished second in the field of 17 teams and ahead of South Alabama (909), Western Kentucky (917), Tulsa (918) and host Georgia State (922). Jacksonville won the title with an 882.
Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria and Linette Holmslykke had MSU’s highest finish as they shared fifth place and spot on the All-Tournament Team. Puente Rodriguez carded scores of 77-75-70=222, while Holmslykke had scores of 76-70-76=222. Other Racer finishes included Moa Folke in 17th place on rounds of 75=74-81=230 and Anna Moore in 27th place on scores of 74-78-81=233. It was a 33rd place showing for Raeysha Surendran on scores of 83-77-75=235. Nadine Innes led the five individual players in the event and had a 27th place finish on scores of 79-77-77-233.
The Racers have earned two wins in the 2017-18 season to go with four second place finishes.
