Trigg County’s Tim Bush was named the Second Region Baseball Coach of the Year based on voting by the region’s baseball coaches.
The Wildcats were 19-12 and won the school’s fifth district championship in six years. Trigg County beat Hopkinsville 6-0 in the Second Region before falling to Union County in the semifinals.
Trigg County picked up wins during the regular season over Third Region finalist Muhlenberg County, First Region semifinalist Calloway County, and beat a Unicoi County, Tennessee twice that won 20 games.
