University Heights Academy looked strong at the Bluegrass State Soccer Games over the weekend in Versailles. The Lady Blazers, who return a solid nucleus of players from last year’s 16-4 team that advanced to the region semifinals, knocked off defending Sixth Region champion North Bullitt 4-0 in their opener Saturday behind a pair of goals from Lilly Strader, who added a hat trick in a 4-4 tie with Bishop Brossart (6-14-1) later in the day.
Strader and Alex Juckett tallied scores as the Lady Blazers beat Franklin County (19-4-1) Sunday morning by a 2-0 score.
