
Several area teams are ranked in the Top 20 of their respective classes in this week’s CalPreps.Com football ratings. The ratings are compiled using computer formulas to generate the top teams in each of the six classes.
In Class 3A, despite their loss to Christian County on Friday night, the Caldwell County Tigers come in at #7 in the ratings. Trigg County, which scored 34 unanswered points to rally from behind against Monroe County, is ranked at #14.
In Class 4A, even with their loss to South Warren, the Hopkinsville Tigers lay claim to a Top 10 spot in the ratings. The Tigers come in at #8.
The highest ranked area team in the CalPreps.Com ratings is the Christian County Colonels. The Colonels, who knocked off Caldwell County in the Jerry Claiborne Bowl, come in at #6 in the Class 5A ratings.
