Caldwell County All-District outfielder Emmarae Staples has committed to continue her softball career at Frontier Community College. Staples made the announcement on social media Monday.
Staples hit .354 with 11 extra base hits and 12 RBIs for the Lady Tigers as a junior. She expects to be a key player for a Caldwell County team that advanced to the region championship in 2018 and returns all but one starter in 2019.
Frontier Community College, located in Fairfield, Illinois, competes in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
