Two UHA Blazers had solid rounds during the rain shortened All A Classic Boys Golf tournament Saturday in Richmond. Due to weather conditions the event was shortened to a nine hole event. While some players were able to complete the 18 holes, the scores for the front nine of the course were used to determine the state championships.

UHA’s Jiles Wyatt shot a 41 on the day. That score placed him in an 8-way tie for 39th place. Wyatt was one of the players who completed 18 holes. He shot a 43 on the back nine. Wyatt was coming off a three way match Thursday in which he was the medalist.

Wyatt’s teammate Weston Wood was one shot further down the list. Wood shot a 42 for his nine-hole score. That placed Wood in a 9-way tie for 47th place. Wood also had finished his 18 holes and shot a 39 on the back nine.

Jansen Presten, of Lexington Christian, won the boys state championship with a score of 33. Trevor Isenberg, of Monroe County, won a tiebreaker to place second with a score of 36.
