It nearly turned out to be a big win, but instead was a tough loss Tuesday night at home for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons. Fort Campbell, which has been improving over the course of the season, dropped a five set match to Clarksville Academy.
At the beginning, it looked like it would be a short night for the Lady Falcons. They cruised through the opening two sets, winning 25-16 and 25-12, to go up 2-0 in the match.
However, Clarksville Academy fought there way back into the match over the next two sets. Clarksville Academy won the 3rd set in a big way 25-6, and looked strong again in the 4th set winning 25-15 to even up the match.
The fifth and deciding set was a tight one, with Clarksville Academy holding on to take a 15-12 win.
The loss drops Fort Campbell to 4-16 on the season. The Lady Falcons return to action Thursday night in a district matchup at Christian County.
