After a disappointing loss to Paducah Tilghman, the Hopkinsville Tigers got off to a quick start against Kenwood on Friday night. The Tigers led 22-7 after the first quarter, before seeing the lead slip away in the late. However, they wouldn’t be denied, as James Nicholas knocked down a 3-pointer with seconds remaining to send the Tigers to a 63-62 victory. Afterward, Coach Larry Miller talked about what led to the strong start and the mental toughness his team showed to pull out the win.
