A second-quarter cold spell put the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors in a hole they never recovered from, falling 41-30 to visiting Clarksville Christian School on Thursday night.  The Lady Warriors drop their third-straight game to slip to 4-5 overall.

Chelsea Dortch scored 4 of HCA’s 7 first-quarter points, and they trailed only 8-7 after the first 8 minutes.  However, Kinley Deason and Abbi Bullock each hit 1 of 2 free throws for the Lady Warriors only offense in the second quarter, and Clarksville Christian led 18-9 at the halftime break.

Just like the first quarter, the Centurions outscored HCA 8-7 in the third frame for a 26-16 advantage.  Both teams warmed up in the final quarter, with Dortch scoring 9 points and Deason chipping in 5.  Lexy Radcliff had 8 for Clarksville to help seal the win.  The Lady Warriors couldn’t get any closer to 10 before losing by 11.

Dortch led all scorers with 16, followed by Deason with 9.  Maddie Byrd finished with 10 for Clarksville Christian, with Radcliff and Sydney Desroches scoring 8 each.
