Lady Warriors Nab Senior Night Win in Overtime

Kinley Deason scored seven of her 20 points in overtime as Heritage Christian Academy overcame a 10-point first half deficit to beat Franklin Road Christian School 48-44 Tuesday at Warrior Gym.

Deason hit 11-of-14 at the free throw line, including five in the extra period. Chelsea Dortch joined Deason in double figures with 15 points.

HCA survived being shut out in the second quarter as they fell behind 19-9 at halftime. A 15-6 third quarter run got the Lady Warriors back to within 25-24 after three quarters.

Logan Gibson and Abbi Bullock each scored four points for HCA, who hit 15-of-22 at the free throw line as a team.

HCA evened their record at 10-10 on the season and will host Bethel Christian Saturday at 10am in a KCAA Region Tournament game at Warrior Gym. A win puts them into the region championship game at 4pm against Oak Ridge Christian.
