Former Hopkinsville guard Q Cager will be heading to Kansas City next week to play in the NAIA National Tournament.
Cager’s William Penn College team lost to Peru State 84-82 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament over the weekend. The Statesman (21-11) are ranked No. 16 in the NAIA Poll and will play in the NAIA Division I National Tournament that begins next week in Kansas City.
Cager is a freshman at the Iowa school and averages 11 points and two assists. He has been out of action since late January due to an injury but could return for next week’s games.
