McKnight Wins Two Jumping Events at Henderson County Colonel Classic

Hopkinsville’s Yogi McKnight won a pair of events to help the Lady Tigers finish seventh Saturday in the season-opening Henderson County Classic.

GIRLS
Yogi McKnight – 1st in the long jump (16-09.5); 1st in the triple jump (33-2)
Allison Wood – 1st in the 3200-meter run (12:37.15); 3rd in the 1600-meters (5:49.57); 5th in the 800-meters (2:41.03)
Dashiya Radford – 4th in the 300-meter hurdles (55.43); 8th in the 100-meter hurdles (21.66); 14th in the high jump (3-10)
Alyssa Rawlins – 8th in the shot put (27-00); 13th in the discus throw (64-11)
Lailah Boyd – 9th in the 400-meters (1:13.80)
Jakayla Epps – 11th in the 100-meters (14.54)
Dana Hardison – 12th in the 800-meters (3:10.08)
1600-meter relay team was third (4:37.16)
400-meter relay team was fifth (57.61)

Xavier Bussell – 2nd in the 200-meters (22.98); 3rd in the 400-meters (55.26)
Kyren Palmer – 2nd in the 400-meters (55.22); 13th in the long jump
Chase Atkins – 2nd in the 1600-meters (4:52.99); 10th in the 800-meters (2:16.74); 13th in the 3200-meters (11:58.42)
JeVon Leavell – 3rd in the 200-meters (23.56); 4th in the 100-meters (11.68)
Keane Mumford – 4th in the shot put (40-09)
Zahnte Brown – 5th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.41); 7th in the 300-meter hurdles (47.52)
Josh Mallory – 6th in the discus throw (89-02)
Ellis Dunn –7th in the triple jump (37-10); 8th in the 100-meters (12.46)
Joshua Deeds – 11th in the shot put (35-09.25)
400-meter relay team took first place (44.74)
1600-meter relay team took first place (3:37.98)
3200-meter relay team was 7th (9:30.78)

The boys’ team finished third with 80 points, trailing only first place Owensboro (92) and second place Fort Campbell (91). The Lady Tigers scored 59 points and finished seventh.
