Fort Campbell sophomore Coby Arnold dropped the opening set of his first round match against Webster County’s Seth Ranes at the region tennis tournament on Monday night, before battling back to take the second 7-5. That led to a 10-point tiebreaker, with Arnold falling 8-10 to end his season.
Afterward, Arnold pointed to Ranes’ ability to move him around the court with good placement as the reason for the loss, and looked at the improvements he hopes to make in the off-season.
