Scotty Hopson has a lengthy basketball resume as a player. The University Heights Academy alum and former Tennessee Volunteer basketball player is spending this week as an instructor at his Hopson Hoops Academy Camp at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex.
Hopson, who has played basketball in the NBA and overseas during an eight-year professional career, talked about giving back to the community where he grew up through helping kids learn the fundamentals of basketball.
The camp continues Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am-noon at the Sportsplex. Hopson said campers can attend a session on Tuesday or Wednesday for $35.
