Christian County had three golfers shoot in the 80s which translated into an eighth place finish at the Region 2 Golf Tournament Tuesday at the Owensboro Country Club.
Houston George led the way for the Colonels with a round of 83, which was good for a tie for 16th place. Senior Josh Johnson shot an 85, and Micah Smith added an 87. Senior Chase Dawson carded a 95, and Jase Blue shot a 109.
Daviess County’s Daniel Love shot an even-par 72 to claim region medalist honors.
Christian County’s team score of 350 was 30 shots behind region winner Daviess County and good for an eighth place finish.
