Madisonville-North Hopkins claimed the girls’ 7th District soccer championship on Tuesday, knocking off Caldwell County 4-1 in the title game in Princeton.
Caldwell led 1-0 early, but the Lady Maroons got to halftime with a 2-1 lead. Madisonville then put the game away with a pair of late goals.
The Lady Maroons will carry an 18-1-1 record into next week’s 2nd Region tournament.
Caldwell is 12-7-2 heading into regional play.
