A quick start was all Oak Ridge Christian needed to grab a 56-36 win over Heritage Christian Academy Thursday in KCAA play at Warrior Gym.
Shalyn Bratcher scored 10 of her game-high 26 points in the first quarter as Oak Ridge jumped out to a 20-7 lead. The No. 1 team in this week’s KCAA Power Poll extended their lead over HCA to 31-13 by halftime.
Abbi Bullock led Heritage Christian (2-9, 0-3) with 12 points and three assists. Jenna Wiggleton came off the bench to hit a pair of 3-pointers and finish with a career-high 8 points. Ashton Craft scored seven points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Heritage Christian will play in the Knights Christmas Classic this weekend at Lancaster Christian Academy in Smyrna, Tenn. HCA will play Webb School at 3pm Friday.
