Clark’s Big Day Not Enough For Lady Panthers in Loss

A big day from Brooklyn Clark wasn’t enough for Dawson Springs to grab a victory against Northeast, falling 72-62 in the Russellville Food Bank Classic Sunday.

The freshman guard scored 32 points to lead the Lady Panthers.  She hit five 3-pointers and was 9-of-14 at the free throw line in being named to the all-tournament team.

Dawson Springs held a 35-32 lead at halftime, but Northeast turned up the pressure in the third quarter and used a 24-6 run to take control of the game.

Denisha Randolph joined Clark in double figures for the Lady Panthers (3-5), who hit ten 3-pointers in the game.  Dawson Springs was also playing without two starters who were out sick.

Emoni McCray led Clarksville Northeast with 21 points.

Dawson Springs will travel to Bowling Green Friday to play Bell County in the Lady Gator Holiday Classic at Greenwood.
