Lady Maroons Rout Caldwell to Improve to 16-0

Madisonville-North Hopkins scored the first nine points of the night, built a 22-4 lead after 8 minutes and went on to rout Caldwell County 63-27 Friday night in Princeton.

Courtney Peyton scored 21 of her game-high 28 points in the first half, helping the Lady Maroons build a 38-17 advantage at the break.

Camryn LaGrange added 19 points as Madisonville’s girls remained unbeaten, improving to 16-0 overall and 3-0 in 7th District play.

Caldwell (7-6, 2-1), which had won its last three games, struggled to get much going offensively.
No one scored more than six points for the Lady Tigers, who trailed 58-19 through three quarters.
