With the spring sports season in the books prematurely, YourSportsEdge.com has reached out to coaches, and they have provided us with information and comments on their seniors.  We will be recognizing the Class of 2020 for the remainder of what would have been the spring sports season.

Ty Meacham is a member of the Trigg County High School bass fishing team.

Ty spent two years on the Christian County fishing team before joining Trigg County his junior year.  He plans on attending Missouri Baptist University where he will major in education and minor in ministry.  Ty will also be a member of their football team.

“Ty’s biggest achievement was qualifying for the state championship his junior year.  He finished in 15th place at the Region 1 tournament which qualified him for the state tournament,” Trigg County Coach Scott Schrock said.  “After the first day of the tournament, Ty and his partner Chase Oglesby were in 5th place out of 90 teams.  They ended up finishing in 6th place, the best finish for a Trigg County team since we were runner up in 2014.”

“Ty’s favorite memories of being on the fishing team are catching the fish to qualify for state in the last hour of the region tournament and the experience of finishing in 6th place at the state championship.  Ty was going to fish with another senior, Brock Sandbrink this coming year.”
