
The summer golf season has gotten off to a pretty good start for University Heights’ Jiles Wyatt. Coming off a big performance at Drake Creek over the weekend, Wyatt took a Top 5 finish Tuesday at the Bluegrass Golf Tour’s stop at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Wyatt started the day with a 2 over par 38 on the front nine. He bogeyed #1, #8, and #9, with a birdie on the par 4 fourth hole.
On the back nine, Wyatt bogeyed #12, #16, and #17, while coming up with birdies on #14 and #18.
Wyatt finished the round with a 3 over par 75, placing him in a tie for 4th place with Hopkinsville’s James Folz.
Owen Stamper, from Scottsville, won the event, shooting a 4 under par 68. Stamper birdied his final four holes.
