Maroons’ Hill Finishes 11th at Greenwood Invitational

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons golf team made the trek to Bowling Green Monday to take part in the Greenwood Gator Boys Invitational. Led by Jackson Hill, the Maroons finished the day tied for 15th place.

Madisonville finished the day with a team score of 343. That score tied them with defending state champion Taylor County. Marshall County won the event with a score of 300. Louisville Trinity was second with a 306.

Individually, the Maroons’ Jackson Hill finished his round with a score of one over par 73. That score placed him in a four way tie for 11th place. Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo won the event with a 66. Chase Wilson, of Franklin-Simpson, Luke Coyle, of Taylor County, and Warren Thomis, of Madison Central, finished in a three-way tie for second with rounds of 69.
