Monday’s playoff opener in the Kentucky Prospects Collegiate Baseball League got started an hour and a half late because of rain.
Once the contest started, the National team grabbed the lead early but the American squad came back to claim an 11-8 victory at Brooks Stadium in Paducah.
It was game one of the best-of-three series.
