A Mr. Basketball winner from Hopkins County and a former player for the Kentucky Wildcats has been added to the basketball coaching staff at Kentucky Wesleyan College. According to social media posts, and his Twitter profile, Madisonville-North Hopkins graduate Jon Hood has joined Coach Drew Cooper’s staff in Owensboro.
Hood joins Dave Bezold and Tyler Hochstetler as assistants on the KWC staff.
Hood was the 2009 Mr. Basketball winner in Kentucky following his senior season at Madisonville. Hood then went on to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky.
