After losing a tough battle to Christian County in their opener last weekend, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons rebounded in a big way Friday night. Madisonville scored early and often on their way to a 49-0 win at Ballard Memorial Friday night.

LaJuan McAdoo scored the first of his two touchdowns on their first possession of the night and the route was on. The Maroons would lead 14-0 after the opening quarter.

McAdoo would score again in the second quarter, along with Chris Price, who had two first half touchdowns. A touchdown pass right before the end of the first half put the game into running clock mode for the rest of the night.

With the clock in running mode, the Maroons would add two more second half scores to reach the final margin of 49 points.

McAdoo and Price led the Madisonville attack with two scores each.

With the win, the Maroons improve to 1-1 on the season, and will now take on Henderson County at home next Friday night. The game is a change in the original schedule, as Madisonville had been slated to go on the road to Logan County.
