Henderson County firmed up its grip on the #1 spot in this week’s YSE 2nd Region Girls’ Soccer Super 7. In this shortened season, the Lady Colonels have assumed the favorite’s mantle, and appear to be a tough challenge for the rest of the region.
– Henderson County (4-1) – The Lady Colonels were impressive in their only action of the week, a 5-0 win over Daviess County. They wrap up the regular season down the road with matches against McCracken County and Madisonville.
– University Heights (3-1) – The Lady Blazers picked up an easy 9-0 win at Franklin-Simpson. Huge battle against Murray in the All A sectional round tonight.
– Madisonville (3-3-1) – Still no Camryn LaGrange over the past week for the Lady Maroons. Still, they managed to go 3-0 during that time period.
– Hopkinsville (3-1) – The Lady Tigers have been shut down for several days due to COVID concerns. The hope is that they are able to return to play in time for the final week of the regular season.
– Lyon County (3-3) After an 0-3 start, the Lady Lyons have rebounded with three straight wins, including a win over Caldwell County. Time to watch this group to see if they can keep it going.
– Caldwell County (3-2) – Some reported injuries may be having an impact on this group. Still talented enough to make some noise at the end of the season if they can heal up in time.
– Trigg County (2-2) – The Lady Wildcats stubbed their toe in a district matchup with Lyon County. A return matchup with the Lady Lyons looms on the horizon.
