Tomas Duncan narrowly missed setting a new school record Saturday for a 5,000-meter run. The University Heights Academy senior ran a time of 16:16 at the Louisville XC Classic held at Tom Sawyer State Park.
Duncan’s time was four seconds off his personal best and school-record time of 16:12 set earlier this year at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational in Louisville.
He finished fifth in his race segment and had the 13th fastest time overall out of 155 runners in the event.
