After a technical issue last week, and with the postseason starting next Monday, here is the final YSE 2nd Region Girls’ Soccer Super 7 of the COVID shortened 2020 season.

– Henderson County (5-1) – If the virus numbers, which have been running high in Henderson County allow them to play, they will be the favorites to win another 2nd Region crown.

– University Heights (6-2-2) – The Lady Blazers have a slight edge in the #2 spot, even with ties against Madisonville and Caldwell County. The Lady Blazers had an edge in both of those matchups, but came away with the tie.

– Caldwell County (6-3-1) – Could be the team that no one looks forward to playing in the postseason. The win over Madisonville and the tie with UHA indicate that much.

– Madisonville-North Hopkins (4-5-2) – The Lady Maroons’ without Camryn LaGrange will have to fight their way through, which they are capable of doing.

– Lyon County (7-5) After a slow start, the Lady Lyons have won 7 of their last nine matches. A team that could jump up and bite you if you are not ready to play.

– Hopkinsville (3-2) – The Lady Tigers showed some rust after not playing since mid-September in their loss to UHA. Still, a strong defense can carry you a ways in the postseason.

– Trigg County (5-3-1) – The Lady Wildcats have won three straight in big fashion. Teams they were supposed to beat and they took care of business, which is what it is all about in the postseason, that is taking care of business.
