With the way Kentucky’s offense struggled on the football field this season, you kind of figured there was a change coming. That changed happened Sunday, less than 24 hours after Kentucky’s regular season came to an end.
The Cats finished the regular season at 4-6 on an SEC only schedule.
Coach Mark Stoops announced Sunday that offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, along with quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw had been fired. In a statement, Stoops noted that a search for their replacements will begin immediately.
Both Gran and Hinshaw had been in their positions since 2016.
Stoops was quoted as saying “Eddie and I pondered about this for weeks and mutually agreed that this was the way to move forward.”
