2020-all-a

In addition to moving the tournament to February, the brackets have now been set for the 2021 Boys’ All A Classic State Tournament. The event is scheduled to take place February 17-21 in McBrayer Arena at Eastern Kentucky University.

The pairings were announced following a weekend meeting of the All A board.

For the 2nd Region winner, the announcement means an opening-round matchup against the winner out of the 7th Region. Teams in the 7th Region are Brown, Highlands Latin, Kentucky Country Day, Louisville Collegiate, St. Francis, Walden, and Whitefield Academy.

Last season’s 7th Region champion was Louisville Collegiate. The 7th Region has won one game in the last seven tournaments.

For the 4th Region winner, the opening round means a matchup against the other Louisville area region, the 6th Region. Schools in the 6th Region are Beth Haven, Evangel Christian, Holy Cross, Portland Christian, Presentation, and Shawnee.

Last season’s 6th Region winner was Holy Cross, who was the last 6th Region winner to win a game in the tournament, back in 2014.

The winners of the games between the 2nd and 7th and the 4th and 6th would meet in a quarterfinal round matchup.

Dates and times for the tournament games will be announced at a later date.
