After losing its 2020 football season to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fort Campbell Falcons will have some new faces on their schedule for the 2021 football season. The schedule was released Tuesday morning.
The Falcons are scheduled to open the 2021 season on the road taking on Muhlenberg County on August 21st. The Mustangs are among the new teams on the schedule.
Fort Campbell then returns to post for back-to-back home games, as they host Todd County Central and Trigg County. The Falcons’ bye week will come early this year, as it falls between those games on Friday, September 3.
The annual Army Bowl contest will be on September 17, as the Falcons will be on the road at Fort Knox, trying to rebound from the 2019 loss to the Eagles.
District play will get rolling on September 24, as the Falcons will host the Mayfield Cardinals.
Fort Campbell will hit the road for a couple of district trips after that, traveling to Murray and to Caldwell County.
The Falcons will host Caverna in a non-district game, before finishing out district play with a road trip to Ballard Memorial.
The regular season for the Falcons is set to wrap up October 29, as the Falcons host Webster County.
Jeff Rodgers is in his second year at the helm of the Falcon football program after the Falcons were not allowed to take part in the 2020 season due to DoDEA COVID-19 restrictions
