Caldwell County grad Jaylen Boyd is now the all-time rusher leader at Lindsey Wilson College.

Meanwhile, the Blue Raiders finished Saturday’s NAIA playoff game with 35 straight points to blitz Bethel (Kansas) 42-10. Lindsey Wilson advances to the NAIA Football Championship Series Playoff quarterfinals next week.

Saturday was a big day for Boyd. With his team-high 15 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns, Boyd now has 2,244 career rushing yards, which is good enough to move past the 2,219 career rushing yards from Blake Ingleton, who was with the team from 2016-18.

Lindsey Wilson led Bethel just 14-10 at halftime, but put up four touchdowns in the second half. That included a 1-yard scoring run by Boyd with 1:28 left in the third quarter and a 36-yard TD run by the former Caldwell County Tiger with 12:34 left in the contest.

At Caldwell, Boyd is second on the Tigers’ all-time rushing list with 5,451 yards. He owns the Tiger single-season rushing record with 2,041 yards in 2012.

The Blue Raiders are now 8-0 this season. Lindsey Wilson is the No. 3 seed for the NAIA playoffs and now awaits its opponent for next week.
