Union County used a big third inning to erase Todd County Central’s early lead on its way to a 12-6 win over the visiting Lady Rebels on Friday.

The Lady Braves post double-digit runs for the thirteenth time this season, winning each time to stand at 13-5 overall.

Todd Central dropped its third-straight and fifth in six tries to slip to 6-8 with a trip to UHA coming up on Monday.

The Lady Rebels pushed a pair of runs across in the top of the 1st on a run-scoring double by Jocelyn Mock and an RBI single by Haylee Vass.  They added 2 more in the 2nd, with a run scoring on an error and Mock following with a single to bring another for a 4-1 advantage.

Union starter Hannah Carter yielded a single and a walk to start the 3rd and was replaced in the circle by Cadence Coker.  Coker walked two of the first four batters she faced to allow 2 more runs for a 6-3 score.

Jralee Roberson homered off Todd Central starter Abigail McPherson to start the 4th, and the Lady Braves took the lead with a 5-run, 2-out rally.  Carter singled in a run and Jaylee Meadors scored 3 with a triple ahead of an RBI single by Jaylen Tackett.

Coker cruised the rest of the way to pick up the win, allowing only 2 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5 innings.

McPherson took the loss for the Lady Rebels, yielding 9 earned runs on 6 hits with 6 walks and a strikeout.  Maddie Williams pitched the last 3 frames, giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hits with a walk and a pair of strikeouts.

Meadors’ 3 hits and 5 RBI led the way for Union, with Leah Hunley and Carter each hitting safely twice and driving in a run.
