Mitali Patel closed out her University Heights Academy tennis career with a first-round loss in the Region 2 Tennis Tournament Monday in Henderson.
The Lady Blazer senior took the first two games of her match with No. 2 seed Sophie Maddux before falling 6-2. Maddux took the second game 6-1 to close out the match.
Patel was the lone Lady Blazer to compete at the region tournament.
