
Allison Wood celebrated World Redhead Day by setting a Hopkinsville High school record in the 1600-meter run and winning a region title Wednesday at Marshall County.
Wood ran a time of 5:30.75, utilizing a strong kick in the final 100 yards to edge Madisonville’s Joy Alexander. Wood’s time edged the old school record of 5:31.56 set by Meghan Easton in 2018.
