Christian County competed in three events Saturday at the Class 3A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.

J.T. Adams finished 15th in the shot put with a toss of 44-feet and a half-inch.  Dupont Manual’s Malachi Lawrence won with a distance of 61-feet, 6-inches.

Joseph Alexander finished 14th in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 11.24 seconds.  The Colonel senior battled a leg injury that was aggravated at the region meet where he ran a personal best time of 11.14 seconds.  He just missed Tim Wharton’s school record of 11 seconds set in 2005.

Christian County’s 800-meter relay team of Joseph Alexander, Jaiden Northington, Dahzmeon Brown, and Cameo Gordon finished 18th in a time of 1:33.50, which beat their previous best at the region meet by .20 seconds.
