Jackson Watts Concludes High School Track Career with Two Seconds at State

Madisonville senior Jackson Watts claimed a pair of second-place finishes at the Class 3A State Track and Field Meet Saturday in Lexington.

Watts finished second in the 1600-meter run in 4:17.07, breaking his own school record by a second.  St. Xavier’s Nolan Hester won the event in 4:15.22.

Watts was second in the 3200-meter run in 9:17.93. Theo Bachmann of South Oldham won in 9:14.89.

Watts got his work in on the track of his future college home – the University of Kentucky.
