Emma Talley will enter Sunday’s final round of the LPGA’s Volunteers of America Classic in a tie for 23rd place at 4-under-par overall.
Talley carded an even-par 71 in Saturday’s third round at the Old American Golf Club at the Colony near Dallas, Texas.
That was after she played the final 10 holes of her second round earlier in the day.
Talley shot a 2-over 73 in the second round, which was suspended by darkness on Friday.
She then got off to a great start in the third round, getting birdies on Nos. 2, 3 and 5 to get back to 7-under overall and move well inside the Top 10.
But those would be the final birdies of the day for the former Caldwell County High School and University of Alabama standout. She bogeyed No. 6, then had back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 10 and 11.
Talley is now 10 shots behind the leader, Jin Young Ko, at 14-under. Esther Henseleit and Matilda Castren are each at 13-under.
Talley begins the final round at 12:11 p.m. Sunday.
