Led by a strong round by Jackson Hill, Madisonville finished in third place Friday at the Daviess County Invitational in Owensboro.
Hill shot a 1-under par 34 on the front nine and even par on the back for a round of 1-under 70. He tied with Owensboro Catholic’s Jakob Wellman for top honors and won the title in a playoff.
Ben Dickerson came in with a round of 85, and J.T. Witherspoon added an 88 for the Maroons.
Gavin Sheets rounded out the scoring for MNHHS with a 91, and Andrew Davis shot a 100.
As a team, Madisonville totaled 334 points to come in third place. Daviess County won with 312 points, and Ohio County was second with 322 points.
