
Marshall County eighth-grader Trinity Beth has repeated as Kentucky Miss Golf. Beth scored enough points in matches during the season to earn the honor. She had three invitational wins during the regular season including the championship of the prestigious Kentucky All-State tournament.
After finishing fourth at the region tournament, Beth finished second at the state tournament.
Her Marshall County teammate Savannah Howell also earned first-team All-State honors by the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association. Howell claimed individual titles at Shelby County and Paul Laurence Dunbar during the regular season. She finished fifth at the region tournament and tied for 11th at the state tournament. She has committed to play golf at Western Kentucky University.
Megan Hertter was named second-team All-State by the KGCA. She claimed the Murray Invitational title to start the season and had seven top-five finishes at invitational tournaments. Hertter finished tied for third at the region tournament and claimed a ninth-place finish at the state tournament. She is committed to play golf at Florida Southern.
All five Marshall County golfers that competed at region and state were also named to the all-region team. Katie Roberts finished in seventh place at the region tournament and tied for 18th at the state tournament.
CeCelia Ray tied for 46th at the state tournament.
The all-region and all-state teams are compiled through a point system assessed for finishes at invitational tournaments during the regular season. Finishes at region and state are also factored in.
