The Dawson Springs girls’ cross country team’s highest finisher was 8th at the Region 1 1A meet at the Trigg County Recreation Complex on Saturday, but a consistent team effort landed the Lady Panthers a runner-up finish and a spot in next week’s state meet in Bourbon County.
Skye Bratcher led the way in 8th-place with a time of 23:59.58, joined in the top-10 by Jenna Fairchild with a 24:31.84.
Kimberly Hoover ran a 24:39.63 to finish 13th, Vanessa Tackett was 19th with a 25:47.72, Allie Jones was 25th, and Abby Garrett crossed the line in 35th.
