Former Caldwell County standout Jaylen Boyd owns another all-time mark at Lindsey Wilson College after Saturday’s win at Bethel (Tenn.).

Boyd has more rushing touchdowns than any other Blue Raider ever after running for 111 yards and two scores as No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson held off No. 22 Bethel 41-30 in McKenzie, Tenn.

Boyd, who entered the game tied for that mark, now has 34 career rushing touchdowns at Lindsey Wilson.

He was already the all-time rushing leader at the school and now has 3,131 yards on the ground for the Blue Raiders.

Saturday’s effort was the 11th 100-yard rushing game for Boyd, which is also a program best.

Lindsey Wilson (8-0) never trailed in the contest and led 20-3 at halftime. But Bethel (6-3) outscored the Blue Raiders 27-21 in the second half.

Boyd had a pair of 1-yard scoring carries in the game. His second-quarter TD put Lindsey Wilson up 10-0. His fourth-quarter score made it 41-24.

With the win, the Blue Raiders clinch at least a share of the MSC Bluegrass Division Regular-Season title for the third straight season. A win in one of their two remaining games will give Lindsey Wilson the outright title for the fifth time in program history.

The Blue Raiders play their final regular-season home game next Saturday, Nov. 6, when they host Campbellsville in the Battle of Highway 55.
