Colonel Swimmers Hit the Pool at Bowling Green

Christian County’s swimmers joined Hopkinsville and hosts Bowling Green at the Purple’s new pool on Tuesday, with the Colonels boys leading the way with six top-five finishes.

Boys’ Finishes

Mitchell Havens – 3rd in the 50-yard free [29.42]; 4th in the 100-yard back [1:13.55]

Fernando Montes – 5th in the 200-yard free [2:46.41]; 7th in the 100-yard free [1:12.75]

Valentin Gonzales – 7th in the 200-yard free [2:56.21]; 9th in the 100-yard free [1:19.13]

Shaw Howell – 5th in the 50-yard free [30.48]; 6th in the 100-yard free [1:08.03]

The 200-yard free relay team of Valentin Gonzales, Fernando Montes, Shaw Howell, and Mitchell Havens finished 3rd with a time of 2:05.63.

The 400-yard free relay team of Fernando Montes, Valentin Gonzales, Shaw Howell, and Mitchell Havens finished 3rd with a time of 4:50.26.

Girls’ Finishes

Dakota Ming – 8th in the 100-yard back [2:08.56]; 22nd in the 50-yard free [44.34]

Aaliyah Gilbert – 13th in the 50-yard free [34.19]
