Hoptown Lady Tigers Fall 64-42 to Visiting Barren County

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers dropped their second straight game with a 64-42 defeat to visiting Barren County on Tuesday in Tiger Gym.  The Trojanettes stay unbeaten with an average margin of victory of over twenty-two points.

Barren County took a 1st-quarter lead behind six points each for Abby Varney and Kaitlyn Elmore.  Kahtahvia Fleming and Donisha Flowers combined for eight points for the Lady Tigers and they trailed 17-13 to start the 2nd quarter.

Hoptown struggled to put up points in the 2nd and the Trojanettes took advantage, stretching the lead out to 32-20 at the halftime break.  Macy Lockhart had five points in the frame for Barren County and Elmore took her halftime total to twelve.

Leading by 15 to start the 4th quarter, Varney and Lockhart scored seven points each to push the final margin to twenty-two.

The Lady Tigers will look to get back on track when they host McLean County on Saturday.
